In February 2013, Garin received a wild card for the main draw of the VTR Open 2013, In the first round, he defeated Dušan Lajović in two sets.

He accepted a wild card for the Royal guard Open 2014 and ATP tournament in his own country.

He won two singles against Mexico, a series that Chile won 5–0. In September 2014, Garín with Hans Podlipnik won the doubles match against the Venezuela team.

He played in Davis Cup 2016 World Group in September 2016 and lost two singles against Canada and his country lost the series in 5-0 sets.

After then he entered a Grand Slam main draw for the first time in the Australian Open 2019 but lost in straight sets to David Goffin
