Early life

Having been born on December 22 of 1992, she is 27 years old as of 2020. She was given birth in the capital city of Australia, Sydney. She holds both Australian and Japanese citizenship. Her parents are Japanese immigrants; thus, even though she was born in Australia, she was raised with Japanese culture and had a Japanese upbringing. At the age of 14, Kutsuna decided to move back to Japan to pursue an acting career.

Kutsuna is a Horikoshi High School graduate located in Nakano of Tokyo in Japan, along with another Japanese actress and model named Riko Narumi and Mayuko Kawakita in 2011.

Film:

Shiori Kutsuna made her film debut in 2009. She appeared in the film Guardian Angel as Ryoko. Most of the film’s appearances are based on manga. In 2010, she appeared in the movie Chonmage Purin and manga-based film BECK, written by Harold Sakuishi. In the movie, she portrayed the character of Minami Maho.

In 2011, she landed a significant award-winning role in the film My Back Pages, where she portrayed the character of Mako Kurata. The same year, she appeared in the movie, three nen B Gumi Kinpachi Sensei: Final as Kanai Akiko. Then she continued appearing in other films like Shinichi Kudo’s Written Challenge! The Mystery of the Legendary Strange Bird and it’s series, Petal Dance, Unforgiven, 125 Years Memory, Kiseki, Oh Lucy! and finally making Hollywood debut in 2018 after appearing in the film The Outsider.

The same year, Shiori Kutsuna appeared in the film Deadpool 2 as Yukio.  Then she played the supporting roles in the American comedy-drama mystery film, Murder Mystery in 2019.

Shiori Kutsuna first made her Tv debut in 2007, making her appear three nen B Gumi Kinpachi Sensei 8 as Akiko Kanai. She played small roles in the drama series Taito to Uni no Kyoshitsu. She appeared in other manga-based series like Mei-chan no Shitsuji, 70000 People Detective Nitobe, The Witch Trial, Shokojo Seira, all in 2009. In 2020, she played a small role in Graduation Song as Mami Sato.

Following year, Shiori Kutsuna continued appearing in Jidankoshonin Gota Keshi as Ayano Sakura. She also played a significant role in the historical drama series called Go portraying Lady Sen.
