Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration becauseit supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our library is an inquiry-based learning environment that allows our students to explore and create their most innovative ideas into a reality.

I am teaching in a Title I school.

Most of our students are English learners and from low socioeconomic backgrounds. This year, students experienced new challenges in their lives; isolation, loss of loved ones, and losing their safe place with their teachers and classmates.

In order to support my students' social and emotional wellbeing, I intend to provide a collaborative virtual learning environment for them.

To do so, I need to provide resources that allow them to interact and stay engaged during remote learning.

Each student has their own individual background, which makes them uniquely amazing! Living so close to the Texas and Mexico border, allows our students' diversity to flourish. Our middle school is located in the Rio Grande Valley or South Texas.

Every student has his or her own obstacles and challenges and it is my honor to facilitate their growth throughout the school year.

My Project

With the TPT credit gift card we would continue to provide the opportunity to collaborate with our classroom teachers by being a perfect collaborative partner.

Together we would be able to rollout our shared research projects all while being virtual.

We could emphasize more on the nonfiction materials and complex texts that our students utilize daily.

We would be able to continue to create leaders by providing literacy and writing tools that will enhance their literacy with real-world experiences. The resources provided in TPT are well researched items that will enhance our students over all learning.

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In - CRUSH Enterprises of San Juan, TX and 3 other donors.
